Is a tea time and you don’t know what to offer to your friends? Are you tired of serving a fragrant fruity tea with ready-made desserts? If so, I give you a very simple recipe, thanks to which you can prepare typical Sicilian almond biscuits. They’re so delicious and perfect to be enjoyed with tea or coffee!
Ingredients for 15 biscuits:
- 300 grams almond flour
- 150 grams icing sugar
- 60 grams egg whites
- Zest of a grated orange, lemon or mandarin
- 5-6 drops of almond flavouring
- Icing sugar for decoration
Mix all the ingredients in a mixer or by hand. Once you create a soft dough, let rest for about 2-3 hours. Then form balls. Each ball must weigh 30 – 35 grams.Pour them into a bowl with the icing sugar and place them in a pan covered with baking paper. Pinch the surface and bake at 180° Celsius degrees for about 12/15 minutes.
